Verstappen not considering Red Bull exit as McLaren dominate in China
Red Bull struggled against McLaren at the Chinese Grand Prix and Max Verstappen was subsequently asked about his future with the team.
Max Verstappen is adamant he has given no thought to leaving Red Bull as they were once again outclassed by McLaren at the Chinese Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri led team-mate Lando Norris in a McLaren one-two in the second race of the year, just a week after the latter had taken the chequered flag at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
Verstappen came home in fourth place behind Mercedes driver George Russell, having finished second on the podium in Melbourne.
The early indications suggest McLaren will be the team to beat this season, with Verstappen's four-year streak of winning the drivers' championship under serious threat.
"Good job, Max. You drove very, very well. Well done."

"The beginning was quite tough. A bit of fun towards the end. Let’s analyse everything, I think those last few laps were a lot more competitive, that’s for sure." #F1 || #ChineseGP 🇨🇳 pic.twitter.com/l0F2tJpypQ
However, the Dutchman is completely relaxed about the situation and loving his time with the Austrian constructor.
Speaking after the race in Shanghai, Verstappen said: "I hear this all the time, but for me nothing changes.
"I'm actually very relaxed and very positive in my mind, I'm enjoying life.
"Every time I've driven in the car I'm just trying to do the best I can and I'm not thinking about anything else.
"I feel good in life in general if that's in or outside the car, and that's actually what matters the most."
The F1 season resumes with the Japanese Grand Prix, with the race taking place on Sunday April 6, with Verstappen the victor in Japan in 2024.
Verstappen is second in the infant 2025 championship standings, eight points back of leader Norrish.
