Taytum a doubt for Celtics, Horford calls out Magic's physicality
The Boston Celtics look set to be without the injured Jayson Tatum for Game 2 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic.
Boston Celtics' Al Horford believes that the Orlando Magic's physicality against Jayson Tatum was too much in their Game 1 win last Sunday.
Tatum hurt his right wrist after he was fouled hard by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope while driving to the basket late in Boston's 103-86 win over the Magic.
The six-time All-Star stayed down but returned to the game, finishing with 17 points on 8-of-22 shooting to go along with a game-high 14 rebounds.
Despite this, Tatum has been listed as doubtful with a bone bruise in his right wrist for Game 2 after being put on the injury report on Tuesday.
"Yeah, there was something extra," Horford said. "There was a lot. It was the second or third time that - especially [Kentavious Caldwell-Pope] - went at him in that way."
Horford was one of the first Celtic players to rush over to Taytum, expressing his outrage towards the Magic players, especially Caldwell-Pope, who was called for a flagrant foul.
"I'm not sure what goes into [plays like that]," he said. "[The] only thing I would say is that it's the playoffs, so the game is going to be more physical, it's going to be more intense.
"I feel like those plays are probably going to happen more often than not."

Jayson Tatum (right distal radius bone bruise) - DOUBTFUL
X-rays on the wrist were negative after the game. On Tuesday, Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said Tatum was able to do "some stuff" at practice.
When asked if he believed the seventh-seeded Magic were trying to intimidate the Celtics with physical play, Payton Pritchard said Tuesday, "I don't feel intimidated.
"Obviously, they fouled him hard, and then he had a little fall, but it's not going to stop us from what we're trying to achieve. It's not going to knock us off our path."
