Willis, Curry and Earl return for England's Six Nations clash with Italy

Tom Willis, Tom Curry and Ben Earl are all in the squad for England's Six Nations finale, but George Martin will not play in the tournament.

Tom Willis, Tom Curry and Ben Earl have all returned to England's squad for the final two Six Nations matches against Italy and Wales, but there is no place for George Martin.

Martin was a late withdrawal from England's last match against Scotland, and misses out with shoulder and knee injuries picked up in their dramatic win last time out.

Willis and Curry were also replaced during England's 16-15 win over Scotland, but have since been named in Steve Borthwick's modified 35-man squad announced on Tuesday.

Earl, meanwhile, has undergone his own training plan and has also been selected, but it remains unclear whether he will play any part for England this weekend at Twickenham.

England still have a shot at Six Nations glory ahead of Ireland v France this weekend, with a French victory opening the door to all three teams, and they will be confident of earning a victory over a favoured opponent in the competition.

Indeed, England have won all 25 of their Six Nations matches against Italy. They are the only side to hold a 100% win rate against another team in the Championship.

Though in 2024, England beat Italy 27-24, the closest that the Azzurri have come to beating them in the Six Nations, their average margin of victory across their 10 previous clashes was 30 points.

Borthwick's side have won both of their last two matches by one point, overcoming France 26-25 before that Scotland win, while they lost 27-22 to Ireland in their first outing of the competition.
