Pochettino misses the culture of football in England
Mauricio Pochettino is constantly linked with a move back to the Premier League, and he has once again hinted at his desire to return.
Mauricio Pochettino says he misses "the football culture" in England as he once again hinted at a potential return to the Premier League.
Pochettino is currently preparing to lead the United States at the World Cup, having been in charge of the team since September 2024.
However, he has hinted many times in the last few months that he would like to return to the Premier League at some point, having previously had three different spells there as a manager.
Pochettino started with Southampton before spending five years at Tottenham, in which he led the club to the Champions League final and a second-placed league finish, before spending one chaotic season at Chelsea.
With Spurs in turmoil in the Premier League, there have been calls for Pochettino to return to north London, and he is seemingly open to reprising that role.
That is because the Argentine, who ruled himself out of the running to replace Ange Postecoglou at the end of last season, misses the world of football in England.
"I love the country, its culture, the football culture," Pochettino told L'Equipe, as quoted by BBC Sport.

"For anyone with a competitive spirit who wants to measure themselves against others and test their abilities, it's the ideal place.
"You have to constantly give your best."
Pochettino took charge of 202 Premier League games at Spurs, more than any other manager in the club's history in the competition.
He won 113 of those matches (D43 L46) and boasts the third-highest win percentage (56%) of any manager to coach more than 10 games, behind Tim Sherwood (59.1%) and Antonio Conte (57.1%).
