India and West Indies end World Cup warm-up series on winning notes
With the T20 World Cup just around the corner, India and West Indies will go into the tournament on the back of victories.
Ishan Kishan scored a rapid century, while Arshdeep Singh claimed a five-for as India bounced back from defeat to earn a 46-run victory over New Zealand.
India wrapped up their preparation for the T20 World Cup in dominant fashion, clinching a 4-1 series victory over the Black Caps on Saturday.
Lockie Ferguson (2-41) dismissed both Sanju Samson (six) and Abhishek Sharma (30) in the powerplay, but Kishan plundered 103 off 43 balls to put India in total control.
Hardik Pandya added 42, with Suryakumar Yadav getting 63 as India finished on 271-5, and New Zealand struggled to get close as they were bowled out for 225 with two balls remaining.
Tim Seifert (5) went early, but Finn Allen struck 80 to push New Zealand forward.
However, Arshdeep (5-51) ripped through the middle order to push India to the win despite the best efforts of Rachin Ravindra (30) and Ish Sodhi (33).

Elsewhere, West Indies avoided a series whitewash by earning a narrow six-run victory over South Africa via the Duckworth-Lewis Stern (DLS) method, with the series finishing 2-1.
Bad weather meant the match was reduced to a 10-over contest, with West Indies racing to 66 before lightning forced players off the field.
Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer scored 48 apiece to get the tourists to 114-3 by the end of their innings.
South Africa struggled to match that, with Quinton de Kock top-scoring with 28 as Gudakesh Motie took 3-17. And though the hosts scored 118-6 by the end of their 10 overs, falling just short of the DLS-adjusted target of 125.
Data Debrief: India turn on the style
Having suffered a disappointing defeat last time out, India resumed their usual business by posting their third-highest total in the shortest format.
They were led by Kishan's maiden T20I century. And India struck 23 sixes in total, their joint-highest total in a T20I innings.
Aiden Markram, meanwhile, captained South Africa for the 38th time in a T20I, overtaking Faf du Plessis' total of 37.
