The first huge Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) event of the 2025 season, Masters Bangkok, came to a thrilling conclusion on 2 March 2025 in front of a live crowd at the UOB Live venue in Thailand, Bangkok. Eight of the best Valorant esports teams in the world competed for their share of the $500,000 prize pool, the coveted trophy, and crucial VCT points. Here's what went down.
VCT Masters Bangkok finale highlightsAs the dust settled over the Group Stage, four teams were sent packing, and four moved on to the double-elimination Playoffs. EDward Gaming, G2 Esports, T1 and Team Vitality survived.

In the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs, it was G2 Esports who came out swinging, beating Team Vitality 2-0 and the Chinese powerhouse EDward Gaming 2-0 to make it to the Grand Final of VCT Masters Bangkok 2025.
T1 had a rough start to the VCT Masters Bangkok Playoffs Stage, losing to EDward Gaming in the first round of the Upper Bracket. However, the side made a massive comeback in the Lower Bracket. With an impressive Lower Bracket run, T1 reverse-swept Team Vitality with a 2-1, then took revenge on EDward Gaming in the Lower Bracket Final with a convincing 3-1 to make it to the Grand Final.
In the Grand Final of VCT Masters Bangkok 2025, G2 Esports kicked off proceedings with a solid win on Lotus, but T1 instantly responded on Haven. G2 Esports then pulled ahead for a 2-1 lead after a close game on Abyss.
On the brink of suffering defeat, T1 bounced back in style, winning both Split and Pearl with both maps going into overtime, to secure a 3-2 victory and claim the VCT Masters Bangkok 2025 trophy.
Congratulations to T1 for winning the first VCT Masters event of 2025, and the lion's share of the prize pool at $250,000. T1's South Korean superstar, Kim "Meteor" Tae-oh, won the MVP award.
