Mettlestate Cash Cups this week | 16 to 19 December 2024

Everything South African gamers need to know about the final batch of Mettlestate Cash Cups of the year.

It's the final week of the year where South African tournament organizer Mettlestate entertains us with one-day Cash Cups for local gamers to enjoy. As always, let's jump straight into the most important details so you can compete in some fun tournaments during the festive season.

Cash Cups from Mettlestate this week

It looks like Mettlestate is going on a little, well-deserved break with these Cash Cups. This week, there are ten of these events to compete in, from 16 to 19 December 2024, with no Cash Cups this Saturday ahead of the festive Christmas week.

  • Clash Royale Cup - 1v1 tournament starting Monday, 16 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • Chess Cup - 1v1 tournament starting Monday, 16 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • COD Mobile Cup - 5v5 tournament starting Monday, 16 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • Squad Busters Cup - Solos battle royale tournament starting Tuesday, 17 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • Garena Free Fire Cup - Solos battle royale tournament starting Tuesday, 17 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • TeamFight Tactics Cup - 1v1 tournament starting Tuesday, 17 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • Fortnite Cup - Duos battle royale tournament starting Wednesday, 18 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • EA FC 25 Next-Gen Cup - 1v1 tournament starting Wednesday, 18 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • Brawl Stars Cup - 3v3 tournament starting Thursday, 19 December 2024, at 19:30.
  • EA FC Mobile Cup - 1v1 tournament starting Thursday, 19 December 2024, at 19:30.

As always, registrations for the one-day Cash Cups close roughly two hours before the events begin, with check-in during the hour before. All tournaments above are free to enter and feature a base prize pool of R1,000, which increases to R2,000 depending on the players’ VIP status.

Prize pool distribution:
  • 1st place: R500 (R1,000 with VIP)
  • 2nd place: R300 (R600 with VIP)
  • 3rd place: R200 (R400 with VIP)
