South African tournament organizer Mettlestate brings you another huge round of one-day Cash Cups this week for local gamers to sink their teeth into. As always, we won't waste your time, and instead, dive straight into the most important details that South African esports fans need to know about.

Thanks to sponsors Axe, Debonairs Pizza, UrbanX, and now Pick & Pay, there are a whopping 20 Cash Cups for local gamers to compete in, featuring a variety of titles from Marvel Snap to Call of Duty. For the week of 14 to 20 October 2024, there are four events per active day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday).

Registrations for the Mettlestate cash cups close about two hours before the events begin, with check-in during the hour before. As always, all the tournaments are free to enter and feature a base prize pool of R1,000, which increases to R2,000 depending on the players’ VIP status.

• 1st place: R500 (R1,000 with VIP)
• 2nd place: R300 (R600 with VIP)
• 3rd place: R200 (R400 with VIP)
