If you are in Cape Town (or close enough to the Mother City), then you should consider experiencing ATK Arena's "Ultimate Gamer" event this Friday. It's a whole lot of fun, and anyone can enter, so let's dive straight into the most important details.

This Friday, 13 December 2024, the ATK Ultimate Gamer competition returns. We suggest you arrive there well before the event gets underway. It is scheduled to run from 19:00 to 21:00 but could go a little later. ATK Arena is calling on gamers to "test your skills and prove you’re the best! The ULTIMATE GAMER competition is back, and the stakes are higher than ever."

Entry into the event and the ATK Arena venue is R80. You can pay and sign up at the door. Teams of four will compete across "Console, PC FPS, PC Genres & Racing," and the grand prize people are competing for is unlimited access to the ATK Arena venue and its state-of-the-art facilities for an entire month.

This is an in-person event, and ATK did note that "(solo? We’ve got you!)," so I think they will group up gamers who don't have full teams.
