'It felt like a final' – Suryakumar salutes India after dramatic Sri Lanka win
India's preparations for the Asia Cup final saw them taken all the way by a spirited Sri Lanka in the final Super Fours match in Dubai.
India captain Suryakumar Yadav says their dramatic victory over Sri Lanka "felt like a final", after the Men In Blue prevailed in a Super Over.
India were already assured of a place in Sunday's final, where they will play Pakistan, but were taken to the wire at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Sri Lanka, whose elimination was secured after successive defeats, successfully matched their opponents' score of 202-5.
However, the Lions could only score two points from their subsequent six balls, with India needing just one to ensure a 100% record in the Super Fours.
"It felt like a final," Suryakumar laughed. "The boys showed a lot of character after the first half of the second innings.
"I told them to play this like a semi-final; get everyone close in, have good energy and then let's see what happens. It's good to be on the winning side."

Suryakumar also paid tribute to Arshdeep Singh, who restricted Sri Lanka while claiming two wickets during the Super Over.
"Arshdeep has been in that situation a lot of times, and he has delivered for us," the skipper added. "I only told him to back his own plans and not to think about anything.
"I have seen him execute his plans, do really well for India and his IPL franchise. His confidence says it all, and there was no one but Arshdeep for that Super Over."
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka bow out after three successive defeats, though Pathum Nissanka's impressive hit of 107 was a highlight of their campaign.
"It was a fabulous game, of course," said skipper Charith Asalanka. "I think we were in the game.
"It was unbelievable hitting [by Nissanka and Kusal Perera, who had a stand of 127]. [India] have got really experienced bowlers, but they batted extremely well.
"[There were] lots of positives throughout the Asia Cup. We have been playing good cricket, but we could not manage to win in the last three games."
