Archer earns long-awaited England Test recall
Jofra Archer is back in an England Test squad for the first time since 2021, with the paceman called up to face India next week.
England have called up Jofra Archer ahead of the second Test against India.
Archer has not featured in a Test since 2021, due to a string of injuries.
The paceman, who made a superb breakthrough into the England side in 2019, has suffered multiple elbow and back issues.
He has featured for England in white-ball matches since 2023, but is now back in the Test fold.

Our squad to take on India in the second Test has just dropped
The 30-year-old is the sole addition to England's squad for the second Test at Edgbaston, which takes place next week.
Ben Stokes' team won the first Test at Headingley by five wickets on Tuesday.
Archer has 42 Test wickets to his name, from 13 matches, including three five-wicket hauls.
He made his return to red-ball cricket this week as he bowled 18 overs for Sussex against Durham, taking 1-32. It was his first appearance in the format since May 2021.
