Mirra Andreeva exited the Bad Homburg Open at the quarter-final stage after losing to Linda Noskova in straight sets on Thursday. 

Andreeva, who was the third seed at the tournament, lost 6-3 6-3 in one hour and 17 minutes in what proved to be her final match before Wimbledon. 

Noskova dominated from the start, matching her opponent for the most part but grabbing a crucial break in the sixth game to take the first set. 

She maintained her momentum into the second, reeling off the final four games and sealed the victory after lofting the ball in the air which Andreeva smashed into the net. 

Noskova's next opponent will be top seed Jessica Pegula after she beat fellow American Emma Navarro.

Pegula, ranked third in the world, won 6-4 1-6 6-3 to book her spot in the final four.

Data Debrief: Andreeva struggles against the serve

Andreeva struggled to cope with Noskova's serve. She won 16.7% of return points on her first serve and 40% on second serve, compared to Noskova's 25% and 71.4%.

She also failed to convert any of her three break points, while Noskova took advantage of three from the five opportunities she had.

The teenager Andreeva received a bye in the first round of the Bad Homburg Open, meaning she has only won one of three games on grass courts since the French Open.
