Orlando's Franz Wagner out indefinitely with ankle injury
Wagner is still dealing with soreness in his left ankle and will be re-evaluated in about three weeks.
Franz Wagner is looking at another lengthy absence.
Wagner is out indefinitely as he continues to experience soreness in his left ankle, the Orlando Magic announced on Wednesday.
The German big man initially sustained a high ankle sprain on December 7, and sat out the next 16 games before returning to play in his hometown of Berlin on January 15, and again in London three days later.
He then sat out the next nine games before returning on February 9 to play in the Magic's last two games before the All-Star break, but recent imaging determined Wagner needs more time to rehab, and he'll be re-evaluated in approximately three weeks.

The latest injury update is a big loss for the Magic (28-25), whose lead over the Miami Heat for first place in the Southeast Division is just a half-game.
Wagner, 24, is tied with Paolo Banchero for the team lead in scoring at 21.3 points per game, while also averaging 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He is shooting 47.9 per cent from the floor and a career-best 36.5 per cent from 3-point range.
The Magic are 12-6 in games when he scores at least 20 points and 16-19 in games he doesn't.
